POS softwares were all carefully designed and crafted. Thus, they are all right technologies. They just become inappropriate after wrong retail business match and use.
Most POS softwares have standard formats while some are programmable to fit retail needs. Standard POS softwares are not always inappropriate technology, as often criticized. There would always be an error in any tool and system, that is the human error. But if a retail owner prepares and invests on the right POS software, this error can be minimized.
